Subsequent inspections of the Beaver Brook Bridge have been conducted by the County’s engineer since Sunday and I am glad to report today that we have been given the okay for normal traffic over the bridge, effective immediately. I notified the Sheriff, Emergency Management Coordinator, ESD 2 Fire Chief and LISD Superintendent of this as soon as I received communication from the engineer. At this time, all major roads throughout Hardin County are now open for normal traffic.
We continue to ask all Hardin County citizens who received any flood damage to please contact the Hardin County Emergency Operations Center via email at email@example.com or by phone at (409) 246-5198 (between 8A – 5P). We need your name, address and phone number. Additionally, if flood victims residing in unincorporated Hardin County are insured for this loss, but your insurance is denying flood-generated debris removal, please provide us with that specific denial letter along with your address to confirm eligibility for debris pickup.
