Hardin County Strong will host Repair & Rebuild Application and Registration Assistance to Harvey-impacted residents of Lumberton and Sour Lake this week.
Texas GLO Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) will offer registration for repair/rebuild assistance through the Hardin County Strong’s disaster case management team, Endeavors.
The Red Cross will be at the Lumberton location on Wednesday to answer questions and take registration information for their individual and complex assistance programs.
Michelle Brewer, Hardin County Disaster Recovery Director, asks residents to be prepared by bringing all documents including a photo ID and FEMA award letter.
The Repair/Rebuild Application and Registration Assistance program will be in Lumberton, on Dec. 12 & 13, at Rose Hill Acres, Lumberton Fire Station #2, 8890 Keith Road from 9 am to 4 pm.
Sour Lake’s registration will be held before the Ledger is published. For more information about registration, please call (409) 209-5400.
The Rebuild Texas website updated information about Hardin County’s recovery after Hurricane Harvey with some numbers for public information.
According to the website, FEMA in Texas has approved 4,751 registrations for individual assistance providing “$301.77 million in survivor’s pockets” in Hardin.
This includes some $35.51 million in disaster-related expenses in Hardin as well as approving 840 claims paying out 152.76 million through the National Flood Insurance Program.
