Jackson Hardy, a Silsbee High School graduate, was named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches All-State team, according to a press release from Silsbee ISD.
Hardy earned a spot on the second-team as a catcher.
“Hardy has been a four-year starter for the Tigers as a catcher and ultimately led Silsbee with 31 hits, 22 RBI’s, and 35 runs in the 2018 season that saw the Tigers reach the 4A bi-district playoffs. In 92 plate appearances this season, Hardy finished with six strikeouts and ended the season with a .449 batting average.”
In addition to playing in the position of catcher, he filled in as shortstop and pitcher.
He plans to continue playing baseball at Angelo State University in San Angelo where he signed a letter of intent.
