The Hardin County Commissioners Court convened for their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 22 at the County Courthouse.
Deborah McWilliams, County Treasurer, updated the Court regarding the bank fraud attempts that occurred a few weeks ago. She stated that no more attempts had been made and they are working on transitioning to new system.
The Court Was introduced to the candidate for the vacant Extension Agent position by Eric Zimmerman, the District Extension Administrator with Texas A & M Agrilife Extension Service. Bubba Lamolinare, the candidate, was approved by the Commissioners Court.
Zimmerman talked about Lamolinare’s education and background, noting that he helped reinvigorate the 4H program during one of his previous positions.
“He’s looking forward to his role here upon your approval,” said Zimmerman.
“Welcome to Hardin County,” said County Judge Wayne McDaniel.
At the end of the meeting, Precinct 4 Commissioner Alvin Roberts , who is also the Chair of the Drainage Advisory Committee, said the committee was meeting the same day at 4 p.m. During this meeting, the committee will be discussing dates for future public hearings.
