City Manager Steve Clark said that Harvey debris pickup within the City of Lumberton ended a few weeks ago.
Within the city, around 15, 970 cubic yards of debris was picked up.
Clark wants to remind residents that new construction debris removal is the responsibility of the contractor or homeowner and any other debris removal within the city would now be the responsibility of the homeowner, rather than the city.
For the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day, trash pickup within the city will be pushed back a day since the workers are off on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall on Mondays, therefore, pickup will take place on Tuesday, Tuesday’s pickup will be on Wednesday, and so on. There will be trash pickup on the Saturday after Christmas.
