Lumberton Officer Michael Strange stopped a vehicle that had a suspected fugitive inside on Monday evening around 5:15 p.m. near the Infant Jesus Catholic Church on LHS Drive Lumberton.
The suspect had a felony warrant from Jefferson County for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 that was issued a few days prior.
While placing the suspect under arrest, police say they located narcotics next to the suspect in the vehicle. The narcotics included marijuana, powder cocaine, Ecstasy, and Alprazolam that he did not have a prescription for, according to the police report. The suspect was also in possession of a loaded .32 pistol, police said.
The suspect was identified as Madison Wade Lowe, 25 years old of Beaumont.
He was arrested for the warrant out of Jefferson County along with Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 – State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 – State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 – Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana - Class B, and Unlawful Carrying of Weapon – Class A Misdemeanor.
Lowe was transported to the Hardin County Jail.
