The Lumberton Youth Football and Cheer has a tradition of supporting breast cancer awareness during the month of October. “This is a cause that means a lot to us as breast cancer has affected mothers, aunts, and grandmothers in our cheer family, says Elise LaRocca LYFC Cheer Coordinator.
Saturday, October 29 will be the beginning of the playoffs with a Super Bowl and cheer competition two weeks away. LYFC Junior White Football is the 2016 Super Bowl champion and has been undefeated so far this year. The cheerleaders are four-time grand champions
LaRocca says they want to wish the teams good luck as they head to the playoffs and cheer competition and express gratitude to the parents and coaches for their commitment to keep the program going strong. Sign-ups for next season are being held in April and May. Information will be posted on the LYFC Facebook page and sent home with Lumberton ISD students.
