Law enforcement and first responders from throughout Hardin County and Port Neches-Groves were honored at Friday night’s high school football game at Raiders stadium. These special guests received free tickets to the game as well as gift bags filled with items from Altus Emergency Center, Beth Kirk-Realtor, Martin & Martin Insurance, North End Baptist Church, and Stewart Title.
They were invited to the field during halftime and stood side-by-side; law enforcement and first responders from different agencies. Each person’s name and agency/department was announced as they received their gift bag. There were around 45 officers and first responders from Lumberton Police Department, Beaumont Police Department, Silsbee Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Port Arthur Police Department, Port Neches Police Department, Texas Rangers, and Lumberton Fire/EMS.
Students walked through the stands with buckets collecting donations from attendees that would benefit the 100 Club of Southeast Texas. The donations amounted to over $1,800.
