LISD hosted the Community Pep Rally Tuesday evening in the improved Raiders stadium. The stands were filled with eager fans and families looking for a fun evening out. The rally started off with a bang as the football players ran through the inflatable tunnel. Performances by the cheerleaders, Raiderettes, color guard, band, and drum line did not disappoint. The audience was introduced to a group, New World Brass, who performed for the first time this evening. Many talented students had the opportunity to showcase their skills at the rally. Band Director, Tim Pallone, said “Anytime we can get in front of the community and show the kids’ hard work; that’s a positive experience for everyone.” Students sang the school song and the loud horn signaled the end of the first pep rally of this new football season. “It went great. A lot of people showed up and there was a lot of spirit. Everyone is ready for Friday night.” Destini Ray, Cheer Director.
