Justin Michael Crawford

1997 - 2017

Justin Michael Crawford, age 20, passed away August 3, 2017. He was born to Loris Crawford and Christy Graham on April 3, 1997 in Beaumont, Texas. Justin was a 2016 graduate of Lumberton High School. He was a manager at Gander Mountain. Duck hunting with his Dad and being outdoors was one of his favorite things to do. Justin loved his family and his funny personality and great sense of humor made him such a great Uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a true gentleman who loved the ladies. He was a “go getter” with a servant’s heart.  Cooking and playing video games were some of the various hobbies he enjoyed. Justin was a patriotic young man who had aspirations of enlisting in the Air Force. One of his grandfather’s fondest memories of Justin was him throwing rocks and busting watermelons. Justin will be truly missed and never forgotten by all who loved him. Left to honor his memory is his mother, Christy Graham and step father, Gary Graham, of Buna, TX.; father, Loris Crawford Jr. and step mother, Liz Crawford, of Kountze, TX; sisters, Cassandra Eaves and husband, Joshua, of Lumberton, TX. Katelyn French and husband, Ryan, of Lumberton, TX, Katherine Lene’ and husband, Lance, of Beaumont, TX, Jennifer Anderson and husband, Perry, of Lumberton, TX, grandparents, Charlie Cagle and Brenda Cagle of Jasper, TN, and Joanne Crawford of Michigan. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation with family and friends will be 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 South Main, Lumberton, TX. Justin’s life honoring service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Lumberton, 12016 South Main, Lumberton, TX officiated by Pastor Kyle Warren. Internment at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, TX. Serving as Pallbearers are Ryan French, Josh Eaves, Lance Lene’, Perry Anderson, Kurklan Mayer, Josh Latham, Charlie Cagle, Colton Schexnayder and Dakota Crawford.

Robert Chapman  Swearingen, Sr.

1936 - 2017

Robert Chapman Swearingen, Sr., 81, of Lumberton, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 6, 2017.  Robert was born on May 7, 1936 to Chapman and Eva Swearingen in Spurger, TX.  Robert attended Spurger High School and then went on to receive an associates degree from Lamar University.  Robert retired from DuPont after 32 years of service. Robert was known for his willingness to help others; he was an accomplished handyman and even built a house for his mother.  Robert and his loving wife of 61 years, Fay Crysel Swearingen, raised three children in a Christian home and were an example of faith and commitment to their family.  Robert was a Full Gospel Minister and lead a prison ministry. Robert and Fay traveled extensively in an RV when they were younger, so much so, that Robert could tell you the most scenic route to travel to just about anywhere.  Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing and even had a pond to fish in at one time.  Robert was a good father and grandfather, but he will be remembered for his devotion to his wife Fay. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Fay Crysel Swearingen; sons, Robert Swearingen, and wife, Caprice, of Kountze, TX, and Wayne Swearingen, and wife, Nancy, of Tyler, TX; a daughter, Alice Smith, and husband Gary, of Honey Island, TX; grandchildren, Justin Smith, of Honey Island, TX, Brandy Freeman, and husband, Wayne, of Lumberton, TX, Stephanie Wright, and husband, Ben, of Raleigh, NC, and April Brothers, and husband, Trey, of Kountze, TX; great grandchildren, Logan, Raven, Izabella, Madison, Mason, and Adaline; a special friend, Sandra Fulton; and a sister, Mary Jeans.

Stephen Wayne Russ

1971 - 2017

Stephen Wayne RussFuneral services for Stephen Wayne Russ, 46, of Silsbee will be 4:00 pm Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Freedom Fellowship Church with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until time of service.
Mr. Russ passed away August 1, 2017 at his residence. Stephen was born in Kountze July 18, 1971 to Raymond Edward Russ Sr and Margaret Cramer Russ. He worked as a warehouse operator for Exxon Mobil. Stephen enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing guitar. He loved playing church music for the residents at the nursing homes on Sundays. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents and niece Rebecca Louise. Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Amanda Gollihare Russ of Silsbee; children Kara Russ, Kayla Russ, Gary Melton III, Hailey Melton and Taylor Russ, all of Silsbee; brother Raymond Russ Jr. of Silsbee; sister Annell McMullen and husband Larry of Silsbee; sister-in-law Melissa Russ of Silsbee; seven nephews and one great nephew. Stephen will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Michael Morgan Daniel

1947 - 2017

Michael Morgan DanielMichael Morgan Daniel, 70, of Buna passed away August 3, 2017 at his residence in Buna. Mr. Daniel was born March 5, 1947 in Beaumont to Roy Edwin Daniel Sr. and Wanda Morgan Daniel. He was a longtime resident of this area. Michael proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved to spend his time hunting and fishing, and worked many years as a Production Manager for South Hampton Resources in Silsbee before retiring. Michael is preceded in death by his mother Wanda Morgan Daniel. Left behind to cherish his memories are his father Roy Daniel Sr. of San Antonio; son Clay Erwin and wife Christina of San Antonio; daughter Stacey Bumstead and husband Gene of Kountze; brothers Roy Daniel of Fischer, Tx and Herbert Daniel of Conroe, Tx; sisters Denise Daniel and Mary Robinson both of Lynchburg, VA; granddaughter Casey Erwin; two nieces, one nephew, and many friends. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will be hosting family and friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home.

Frances Maxine Wood

Frances Maxine WoodFuneral services for Frances Maxine Wood, 93, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood passed away on August 5, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Heath Care. Maxine was born on June 14, 1924 in Hemphill, TX to Albert and Mamie Lightfoot Sparks. She graduated from Silsbee High School. Maxine was a member of First Baptist Church of Silsbee since 1943 where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. She married A.J. “Johnnie” Wood on September 11, 1948. She had many great achievements in her life but viewed her greatest as being a Christian, a good wife, and above all a good mother to her three children. Mrs. Wood was a talented seamstress at City Cleaners, which she and her husband owned for 22 years. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; husband A. J “Johnnie” Wood; sister Etoyle Isaac; and brothers Albert and Gene Sparks. Left behind to cherish her memories are her sons Gary Wood and wife Kaye of Weatherford, TX, Ricky Wood Sr. and wife Janice of Lumberton; daughter Nancy Rieson of Orange; grandchildren Randy Wood and wife Jayme of Weatherford, Jared Wood of Carrolton, TX, Ricky Wood Jr and wife Danita of Lumberton, Tiffany Thompson of Silsbee, and Jay Brown of Silsbee; nine great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Maxine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

​Rebecca Louise (“Becky”) Graham

1955 - 2017

Rebecca “Becky” Louise Graham  passed away Sunday August 6, 2017. She was born to David Aden Holst and Peggy Ann Hayes on June 22, 1955 in Beaumont, TX. Becky was a devoted daughter to her parents, a loving mother to her children, and her grandchildren were her world. She lived to cherish the memories they made. Bowling was a favorite past time that they shared. She worked several jobs and enjoyed hunting and fishing in her early years. When her grandsons came along, they became the focus of her life.  Although stubborn and set in her ways, she was known to all as a sweet lady.  Staying at home with her grandsons and her dogs is what made her happy. Her home was her comfortable place. Becky will be missed by all who loved her but her legacy will continue. Left to honor her memory are her loving sons, David J. Graham and wife, Robyn, of Beaumont, TX, and Shodray Graham and wife, Sunshine, of Vidor, TX.; dear brother, R. Wesley Holst and wife, Toni, of Lumberton, TX; beloved grandsons, David Michael Graham and Jacob Kade Graham; also survived by many loving family and friends. Preceding Becky in death are her husband, Milton Ray Graham, and her parents. ​Mary Louise McGee

1958 - 2017

A memorial service for Mary Louise McGee, 59, of Port Arthur will be 10:00 am Thursday August 10, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home. Mary was born May 10, 1958 in Port Arthur to Hollis Clayton and Mabel Lee Cook McGee. She was a homemaker and a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Darrell Dearman and sister Lanell Lene. Survivors include son Clayton Coburn and wife Kristin or Pt. Neches; daughters Natalie Johnson and husband Alan of Kountze and Jennifer Keegan and husband Mike of West Borough, MA and grandchildren Mia, Hollis, MaKenzie, Xander, Wesley and Aubrey. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
